General Physiotherapy Clinic

The objective of the treatment in the clinic is to bring the individual to optimal functioning while placing the emphasis on the quality of his life.

Patients: The Physiotherapy Clinic provides a service to patients suffering from various orthopaedic problems (post surgery, following hospitalization, injuries, pain and more), to those suffering from neurological problems (post CVA, brain injuries, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and more), to those suffering from skeletal-muscular pain, for treatment of vertigo and for those suffering from lymphatic swelling.

Treatments: The treatment in the clinic is given by expert physiotherapists in the fields of rehabilitation, and is carried out on an individual basis for 30 or 45 minutes.

During the first session a physical examination is carried out for the purpose of identifying the problems and determining the treatment objectives. The following treatments are personally customized for the patient to achieve those objectives.

During the treatment we use various and diverse methods: simple accessories (balls, weights, springs, tension straps etc), common instrumentation (shock waves, ultrasound and electrotherapy devices etc), as well as instruments with high technological level (balance tutor, Huber 360, antigravity and more).

Biofeedback

Biofeedback treatment encourages self regulation abilities and improvement of the quality of life.

The Biological Feedback (biofeedback) Clinic places itself as an objective to teach people about the continuum between health and illness to utilize the natural regulation abilities in order to improve their quality of life.

Patients: The treatment with biofeedback could help people suffering from tension and stress, muscular-skeletal pain, hypertension, asthma, phobias, panic disorders, CRPS, PTSD, various anxiety disorders (exams, audiences, flights etc).

Treatment: The biofeedback treatment is a process which enables the individual to learn how to change physical activities with the objective of improving his health and functioning. The biological feedback enables an actual glimpse of the psycho-physical regulation abilities and also enables to carry out follow up after the process of the change in functioning, in a tangible and measurable way.

The accurate measurements of the physiological activity such as: heart rate, breathing, muscular activity, that are conducted by the skin and temperature provide rapid and accurate feedback to the user.

The information that appears on the display reflects the physiological changes and expresses the changes to thoughts, feelings and behaviour and enables exercising and learning.

The treatment is carried out individually while using a computer and a biofeedback device.

Pelvic Floor Clinic

A clinic for treatment of the pelvic floor has been available in the Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital since 2017.

Patients: The clinic provides a service to patients after birth, to those suffering from urine leakage and/or prolapsed pelvic organs and for women experiencing pain during sexual relations. Physiotherapy for the pelvic floor is one of the fields of treatment in the field of women’s health.

Treatment: The treatment focuses on problems derived from defects in the soft tissues of the pelvic floor and the organs of a small pelvis. These defects are very common mainly in women and can appear at any age. Problems with the pelvic floor could have medical, functioning, emotional, social and financial ramifications. The requirement for physiotherapy for the pelvic floor in women is high: 1 to 4 women have urine leakage during exertion, 1 of 15 women suffer from significant urine infections. After birth half of women suffer from a certain prolapsed organ (with or without symptoms). About 20% of women has a prolapse of one of the pelvic organs which require intervention. 40% of women suffer pain during sexual relations, and on the other hand, the response on the part of the HMOs is insufficient. The waiting times are for 4-6 months until receipt of an appointment for assessment.

The clinic has added value as being a service that joins up with the Sexual Rehabilitation Clinic which operates in the hospital and also complements it.
