In a complex operation, Reuth Tel Aviv Rehabilitation Hospital evacuated (3.3.26) approximately 60 patients hospitalized in five departments in the Rehabilitation Division and the Geriatric Rehabilitation Division, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the Home Front Command.
The departments are being received in a dedicated, protected underground ward that was prepared for them at Sheba Medical Center, as part of a national response to provide protected and safe medical care.
The patients transferred from Reuth Hospital will stay near Sheba’s Integrated Rehabilitation Hospital, which has also moved to a protected underground complex. This is in addition to patients from Wolfson Hospital in Holon and the Gilad residences who were already received at Sheba earlier this week.
The hospital director, Dr. Orit Stein Reissner:”Reuth Tel Aviv Rehabilitation Hospital has transferred dozens of patients from general rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, and geriatric rehabilitation to the underground complex at Sheba Medical Center, together with the medical teams, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the Home Front Command. Our teams, who are trained to operate in emergency situations, prepared for the transfer in all required aspects. They will accompany the patients and their families and will continue to provide the best possible rehabilitation care in the new facility. At the same time, the hospital will continue operating as usual in the remaining departments, and we are examining additional protection options for the rest of the patients and staff in cooperation with the Home Front Command. We received an exceptional welcome and remarkable mobilization from Sheba, and we are working in full and successful cooperation in order to provide the best professional response for the patients under these emergency conditions. I sincerely hope that we will soon return to days of quiet, health, and routine at our hospital in Tel Aviv”.
