The European Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ESPRM) awarded Reuth TLV a professional standards certificate for its specialized stroke and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation programs.
Rehabilitation is influenced by a variety of factors including governmental policies, availability of medical insurance, and professional training opportunities, which leads to inconsistent quality across different countries. The State of Israel is considered a leader in the field thanks to its health insurance structure and the long-term support provided to those undergoing rehabilitation.
ESPRM created a certification program to standardize the quality of rehabilitation among its member states.
To receive the certification, Dr. Dana Gefen Doron, the director of Reuth TLV’s Head Injuries Rehabilitation Department, presented the department’s inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs; staff training opportunities; available equipment and technologies; and the hospital’s philosophy of collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
ESPRM’s professional committees carefully reviewed the presented material and voted to approve the certification. During the plenary session, European rehabilitation experts expressed great enthusiasm for Reuth TLV’s programs and interest in learning from its successes.
ESPRM’s certification will enable Reuth TLV to expand its professional and research collaborations.
